Instrument Structure  

Light Source: Provides continuous wavelength light. Common types include:  

Tungsten lamp (suitable for the visible light region, 400–760 nm)  

Deuterium lamp (suitable for the ultraviolet light region, 190–400 nm)

Monochromator: Decomposes the composite light emitted by the light source into monochromatic light (specific wavelength), with the core component being a prism or grating.  

Sample Chamber: A container (cuvette) for holding the sample to be tested, typically equipped with a light-blocking cover to prevent external light interference.

Detector: Converts light signals into electrical signals. Common types include phototubes and photomultiplier tubes.  

Display screen and control panel: Displays data such as absorbance (A), transmittance (T), and concentration (C), and allows parameter settings (e.g., wavelength, measurement mode) via buttons.
